Anglian Water restriction status

Anglian Water says its temporary use ban applies to customers across its drinking-water region, with Hartlepool customers excluded.

Recorded area

Where the restriction applies

All customers supplied drinking water by Anglian Water, except customers in Hartlepool.

The restriction covers domestic customers whose drinking water comes from Anglian Water. A property that receives only sewerage services from Anglian Water is not brought into the ban on that basis.

How to avoid a boundary mistake

Hartlepool needs a separate check. Anglian Water’s current FAQ says customers there are not affected. Elsewhere, use the supplier shown on the water bill rather than relying on a regional map or the wastewater company.

  1. Confirm the company that supplies the property’s drinking water.
  2. If the property is in Hartlepool, read the exclusion on Anglian Water’s FAQ.
  3. Check the current restriction and exception list on the supplier page.
